COMPETITIVENESS
A principal
element which remains a constant in the economic
environment of our businesses today is competitiveness,
which can be defined as the permanent pursuit
of technological innovation as a basis for achieving
the highest standards in the execution of any
economic activity. This will lead to the best
world class quality practices.
Mexico has a variety
of natural resources which have significantly
influenced much of our economic development
(we were once the greatest silver producer and
are currently among the greatest producers of
petroleum). Mexican talent and ability have
allowed us to become one of the most important
partners of the world's strongest economy (USA)
by virtue of the free trade agreement with its
commercial exchange of goods and products.
Undoubtedly the Asian
market has developed economic strategies by
strict observance of the issue of competitiveness,
and many countries are observing this spiraling
development with great interest.
In looking to the future, our businesses, suppliers
and customers must continue to pursue this concept
of competitiveness to ensure their survival
in an environment of commercial and intellectual
globalization.
