Jorge
Escalera specialized in Risk Management in 1994
while working for Cydsa (a group of chemical,
textile and packing companies), having worked
before in different areas such as sales, importing,
market development, and human resources for
well-known leader companies such as Bausch &
Lomb, Sigma Alimentos and Bancomer. Currently,
he is Risk Manager for Axtel (a telecom company).
Jorge Escalera is the vicepresident of the Northern
Risk Management Association (Asociación
de Administradores de Riesgos del Noreste) for
the 2002 term. He occasionally teaches college
courses at ITESM (Monterrey Tech). He graduated
from ITESM, with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering
and Management. He has taken several courses
in Risk Management, Insurance and Surety Bonds.
